7 Stage Abdominal Strength Test

The purpose of this test is to measure the strength of a players abdominal muscles. Each player gets as many attempts necessary to try and complete the highest level possible for them. The players feet must remain stationary and flat on the floor throughout the entire attempt. If the players feet leave the floor it is considered a failed attempt. Players score is the highest level completed successfully.

1 Poor Player lies on his back with his arms extended. The player attempts to curl up until his wrists can touch the outside of the knees. Abdominal Strength Test Stage 1 Start Abdominal Strength Test Stage 1 Finish

2 Fair Player lies on his back with his arms extended. The player attempts to curl up until his elbows can touch the knees. Abdominal Strength Test Stage 2 Start Abdominal Strength Test Stage 2 Finish

3 Average Player lies on his back with his arms folded across his abdominals. The player attempts to curl up until his chest can touch his thighs. Abdominal Strength Test Stage 3 Start Abdominal Strength Test Stage 3 Finish

4 Good Player lies on his back with his arms folded across his chest. His hands grip the opposite shoulders. The player attempts to curl up until his forearms can touch his thighs. Abdominal Strength Test Stage 4 Start Abdominal Strength Test Stage 4 Finish

5 Very Good Player lies on his back with his fingers touching the sides of his head. The player attempts to curl up until his chest can touch his thighs. Abdominal Strength Test Stage 5 Start Abdominal Strength Test Stage 5 Finish

6 Excellent Player lies on his back with his arms stretched out above his head, hands lightly gripped together. The player attempts to curl up until his chest can touch his thighs. Abdominal Strength Test Stage 6 Start Abdominal Strength Test Stage 6 Finish

7 Elite Player lies on his back with his arms stretched out abve his head, hands lightly gripping a 5 lb (2.5 kg) weight. The player attempts to curl up until his chest can touch his thighs. Abdominal Strength Test Stage 7 Start Abdominal Strength Test Stage 7 Finish
